Social enterprises are businesses that exist to create a social or environmental impact. While their impact can take many forms; such as donating a portion of profits, creating impactful products or employing disadvantaged members of our community; this impact is core to their business.
Anyone, including you, can create a positive impact in our community by simply choosing to support businesses that do good through purchase of their products, sharing their story, or giving your time and money to help them grown.
When you purchase a product from a social enterprise, you’re not only buying a great product, you’re helping create change.

Together with our Dreamstarter partners we provide scholarships to learning programs that help social entrepreneurs gain the knowledge and training required to establish and grow a financially sustainable social business.
We join with people like you to pledge our financial support to help start-up social businesses launch and grow.
Once a social business has launched, they may need a little extra boost to create or take up an opportunity to scale their social business, that’s where Grants for Growth comes in
ING funds the Dreamstarter program and helps businesses for social good reach new customers via social media, customer communications and media networks. A key focus area for ING is to support the growth of social enterprise in Australia to create a sustainable impact in the community. Dreamstarter is embedded in our business and we’re always looking for opportunities to support in our day-to-day, including events and catering suppliers, staff volunteer and partnership opportunities, partaking in media and board events and provision of products and services.
However, real, positive change starts with collaboration, so we join forces with StartSomeGood and Social Enterprise Finance Australia Partnerships (SEFAP) to you bring Dreamstarter ideas to life and support them so they can thrive.
Dreamstarter is powered by StartSomeGood, an online crowdfunding platform for social good. The StartSomeGood platform allows social entrepreneurs, non-profits and change-makers to raise the funds and grow the community of supporters they need to make a difference. The site is available to anyone with an idea or wanting to support an idea to create a better future for their community, not just non-profit organisations.
SEFA Partnerships believes that “together we achieve more”. They bring together knowledge and support from across sectors to build the capabilities and financial supports social entrepreneurs need to turn big ideas into sustainable social ventures. As a Dreamstarter program partner, SEFA Partnerships manages the Dreamstarter Scholarships and Grants for Growth programs.
