Become a Dreamstarter

How we help

Raise funds to launch or grow your social business.

Set your funding goal

Each new Dreamstarter nominates a tipping point they need to reach via crowdfunding.

ING’s contribution

ING will pledge up to 50% of the tipping point to help them reach their target.

Building support

Dreamstarters use their own networks and ING’s promotional support to crowdfund the remaining pledges required to reach their tipping point.

Target achieved

Once the tipping point is successfully met, all pledges are then turned into real donations.

About Crowdfunding

We’re looking for social businesses that not only create positive social impact, but are also original, shareable and have an existing network to tap into and leverage. Together with our partner, StartSomeGood – an online crowdfunding platform – we want to help businesses created for social good reach a much wider audience and generate a greater level of support, and significantly more donations.

So, if you have a start-up or an established social business you need help getting off the ground, please apply to run a Dreamstarter crowdfunding campaign today.

Criteria

Selection

  • We are looking for exciting and bold social impact businesses with a strong likelihood of success
  • We love shareable ideas that can create a bit of a buzz
  • Each round we look to select a range of cause areas and geographical locations across Australia
  • ING customers will be given special consideration
  • If you are selected you will be notified before 3 May 2019

Checklist / Requirements

  • All successful candidates will need to run their crowdfunding campaign on StartSomeGood for 30 days from 18 June 2019 to 17 July 2019.
  • You’re responsible to leverage your network of supporters to crowdfund the remaining pledges in order to receive the ING financial contribution

Important information

Please note - This year, there will be one round of crowdfunding campaigns, so that means it'll be bigger and better ever with more funding and support on offer. Those selected will receive up to 50% of their tipping point from ING Dreamstarter, which is a great boost to kick off the campaign.
