The Good Beer Co. launched in November 2015 with a clear and simple mission – to make it easy for Australian beer drinkers to save the world one beer at a time. Partnering with environmentally and socially responsible craft brewers The Good Beer Co. creates great beers that help fund good causes. The Good Beer Co. donates at least 50% of profits from the sale of their beer, whilst also helping to raise the profile of the cause.
So far The Good Beer Co. has created three bespoke beers that support two different causes. Launched at either end of 2016, their first two beers, Great Barrier Beer IPA & Great Barrier Beer Melon Honey KÖlsch, support the Australian Marine Conservation Society – an organisation that tackles the biggest threats to the reef today. In 2017, they made their first foray into the international market with the UK launch of the Great Get Together Pale Ale, which supports the Jo Cox Foundation. With the support of Dreamstarter, The Good Beer Co. was able to turn a craft-beer-for-good dream into a reality.
In 2016, The Good Beer Co. successfully ran a crowdfunding campaign with ING Dreamstarter, raising $35,122 - this helped produce their 2nd beer, the Melon Honey KÖlsch. ING Dreamstarter has continued to support The Good Beer Co. beyond just funding. Through product sales & marketing opportunities to customers, staff and other stakeholders ING is able to help The Good Beer Co to grow their brand and networks.
The Good Beer Co. also has numerous celebrity backers including well-known chefs Ryan Squires, owner & chef from Esquires in Brisbane and Ben O’Donoghue, chef from ABC1 TV.
